I have copied to code from a bunch of different sites to get a web layout - i copy it into the about me section, i save the changes, i can view the new layout when i 'preview change' I save it but then it never shows up on MySpace again even though I have done all the right things.
Any tips?

An even easier check would be to test the code out on Internet Explorer. If you have the code saved as .html, just open it on your computer using Internet Explorer and see what comes out.
I agree that using codes from different sites may run into problems, but from my experience, its just clean up. After you clean up and tighten the code, everything works fine.

Copying code from several different code generators will not work. Generally speaking, they will not work together. You will have to have a basic understanding of CSS2 to combine the code from different web sites into one working set.
